Carnival Cruise Line have released some of their latest plans for their latest and greatest ship, Mardi Gras, which includes details about where the ship will be based in its inaugural season.
Once the ship has finished construction she will head straight to Copenhagen where she will sail her Maiden Voyage, a nine day trip to Southampton, UK! This will be the first time that a Carnival ship has ever visited Southampton, where she will depart on her next voyage which is a transatlantic after calling at ports in Europe such as Tenerife and Portugal. Once she has visited these ports she is set to head across the pond to New York! Where she will also sail one one-way sailing down to Port Canaveral.
Port Canaveral will be the new homeport for Mardi Gras, where she will immediately begin to start offering seven night sailings, of which she will alternate between the Western and Eastern Caribbean. Carnival believe that these itineraries are perfect for Mardi Gras and will fit well with the shipboard experience that she will be offering.
