Anthem Of The Seas Rumoured To Relocate To Southampton in 2020!

It has been rumoured that Anthem Of The Seas is to return to the Port Of Southampton in 2020, having last 'home ported' in the city in her inaugural season.

This news comes after the Royal Caribbean CEO, Michael Bayley confirmed that a Quantum class ship will be returning to Southampton in 2020. At this point Bayley confirmed that either Quantum or Anthem of the seas will call Southampton home in 2020. He also added Ovation Of The Seas and the new Quantum Ultra class ship, Spectrum Of The Seas, will not be coming to Southampton.

However, the Gibraltar cruise schedule recently leaked that BOTH Anthem Of The Seas and Independence Of The Seas will be calling Southampton home in 2020. This means that it will be the first time ever that Independence Of The Seas has been the smaller ship operated by Royal Caribbean out of the port - it is also the largest amount of passengers that Royal Caribbean has ever taken out of Southampton.

The rumour comes just weeks after the announcements that P&O Cruises have a new ship, Iona, which will be based from Southampton in 2020.
