Marella Explorer 2 Has Entered Dry Dock!

Marella Cruises' newest cruise ship, Marella Explorer 2, has entered dry dock in Cadiz.

The second new ship for Marella Cruises in two years, Marella Explorer 2, has entered dry dock in Cadiz, Spain in order to commence her 'Marella Makeover' in becoming the latest member of the Marella Cruises family. She will be slightly smaller than the Marella Explorer, but will still boast most of the same amazing features as her sister ship. Marella have released these photos of her entering Cadiz.

She is transforming from Sky Sea Golden Era and is due to be in dry dock for around 8 weeks, which happens to be double the amount of time that Explorer was in dry dock for in May last year. This being said Marella Explorer only transferred from TUI Cruises and Explorer 2 is going to require a lot more work as she is transferring from Sky Sea Cruises, which was a joint venture between Royal Caribbean and Ctrip.

Explorer 2 is Marella Cruises' first adults only ship, which is going to be home-porting in Palma, Majorca for her first few sailings, however will soon be repositioning to Naples, Italy. From here she will offer a variety of different sailings through to October 19, where she will reposition to Bridgetown, Barbados.
