The worlds second largest cruise brand, Royal Caribbean, have released some details on their plans to open multiple more private islands like their 'Perfect Day At Coco Cay' island in The Bahamas.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay

The current Bahamas location has an opening schedule which states the following:

  • The pier for the ships will open in March 19.
  • Thrill Waterpark, Splashaway Bay, Up Up And Away helium balloon, Captain Jacks Galleon, Skippers Grill Dining, Captain Jack's Dining, Chill Island, Chill Grill Dining and Oasis lagoon freshwater pool will open in May 19.
  • South Beach, Coco Beach Club and The Overwater Cabanas will open in December 19.
Following the opening, passengers will be able to book to stay in Coco Cay for a few nights, getting their on one ship and leaving on another! Most of the ships which operate the Caribbean will feature Perfect Day in their itineraries, Royal Caribbean say this will mean 10 of their ships visit! In 2020 ships will stay a lot later into the evening than they currently do and in 2021 select ships will even stay overnights at the island.

Once the Coco Cay location has been opened, Royal Caribbean announced this week that they will be starting work on some of the other islands which they have been acquiring land for recently. These islands will be in locations such as Asia, Australia and another location in the Caribbean. They say that these islands will feature different things depending on their location and what that area sees as their 'Perfect Day'.

The launch of the Asia island also coincides with the launch of the first Quantum Ultra class ship, Spectrum Of The Seas, which is set to start sailing later this year.
