P&O Oriana's New Owners Announced!

After P&O Cruises announced last year that Oriana, the oldest ship in their fleet, would be leaving the company we have finally managed to obtain information as to where she will be headed after her departure from the UK.

Rumours have been surfacing since the announcement that Oriana was being sold to a new company in China, which we have just learnt is true. Oriana will be turning into "Piano Land" and will be operated by both China Travel group and COSCO - which will form 'Well Star Travel Cruise' (the company which will be operating 'Piano Land').

The Piano Land is another cruise ship which is being used as part of a Chinese cruise startup, and will be the biggest ships of the startups so far. This follows on from the closure of the SkySea brand which was a joint venture with Royal Caribbean and CTRIP group - with their one and only ship moving onto another Royal Caribbean company, Marella Cruises, where she will be operated as Marella Explorer 2.
