Royal Caribbean Takes Delivery Of Spectrum Of The Seas!

One of the worlds largest cruise lines, Royal Caribbean International, have taken delivery of their latest cruise ship, Spectrum Of The Seas.

Spectrum Of The Seas - Royal Caribbean

It is the first of the lines class of Quantum Ultra class cruise ships, which is essentially a larger and improved version of their Quantum class ships such as Quantum and Anthem of the seas. The ship is able to carrier more passengers and also includes some different features such as the SkyPad which has already featured on Independence and Mariner of the seas.

The ship is going to be based year round out of China, as the Chinese cruise market has grown to like the Quantum class cruise ships very much, as Royal Caribbean have found out with Quantum and Ovation of the seas (from what I understand Spectrum will be essentially replacing Ovation). With this in mind Royal Caribbean have been able to design Spectrum Of The Seas from the ground up with features for the Chinese market, as we know that ships which go here are usually adapted to fit the needs of the local market - which often differ from the rest of the world.

The addition of Spectrum Of The Seas into the Royal Caribbean fleet now means that they have the exact same amount of ships as Carnival Cruise Line currently; something which is obviously set to change quite a lot with the addition of lots of new ships for both companies over the coming years.
