Marella Explorer & Dream Complete Crew Changeover

Marella Cruises' has completed a changeover of certain crew from the Marella Dream across to the Marella Explorer, in order to help crew get home.

We have seen more and more strange movement's of cruise ships ever since cruise lines stopped sailing, almost a month ago now. Many ships have been simply anchored of shore or docked in port leaving every now and then to discharge of waste water and run certain mechanical components of the ship. However, something we are starting to see more and more often is cruise lines using their own ships to get their crew home; rather than chartering flights due to most commercial flights now being cancelled.

Marella Cruises has become the latest cruise line to do this with the Explorer and Dream, who have recently transferred crew which need to head back to the U.K onto the Explorer - which is now heading towards Southampton.

It is rumoured that they will also be doing this with their ship Discovery 2 and Explorer 2 - which are said to be meeting in Lisbon to transfer crew from the Discovery across to the Explorer.
