Based in Southampton, P&O Cruises have today announced that they are extending their pause in operations up to and including October 15th, due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. This has wiped out the entire summer season for P&O, meaning that both Azura and Britannia have not sailed a single cruise out of Southampton this year.

The news comes on the same day that P&O Cruises newest and largest ship, Iona, entered dry dock in Rotterdam for final out fitting and inspections after successfully completing a set of sea trials in the North Sea on her way from Bremerhaven. The ship is expected to stay in dry dock for around two weeks, before it is rumoured she will be handed over to P&O Cruises in mid June.

P&O's existing cancellation policy largely still remains in place, including the option of a 125% Future Cruise Credit instead of a refund.
