Royal Caribbean Confirm Amplification Push Back

Royal Caribbean have officially announced the delay of the remaining amplifications in the Royal Amplified programme, as well as some other news.

Dry docks for Explorer, Liberty, Allure & Adventure Of The Seas have been postponed, with no new dates given for when each of them will receive their amplification. Allure Of The Seas is currently in dry dock in Cadiz, Spain where she is just getting essential work done on her propulsion and navigation systems.

Explorer Of The Seas was the next ship due to be 'Amplified', and the details for her amplification had already been revealed. The dry dock, as with the other ships, has been postponed indefinitely. This being said, Explorer will be going into dry dock throughout August for essential maintenance work (it is important to note there will probably be little to no changes to the passenger experience onboard), and therefore RCL have cancelled all of her August sailings.

Liberty & Adventure Of The Seas were due to be amplified in 2021, however these have also been pushed back to an unknown date. Liberty was due to sail from Miami (see below) and Adventure was due to sail from Europe in 2021.

Originally, the refurbished Allure Of The Seas was due to sail from Galveston, Texas in place of local regular Liberty. However, due to the delay in the all new Galveston terminal Allure has been swapped back out for Liberty, meaning she will no longer sail from Miami.

It is not yet known if Allure will be heading to Miami, therefore completely swapping itineraries with Liberty, or home porting elsewhere.
