Princess Cruises Announce 2021 Northern Europe Deployment Changes

Princess Cruises today announced that they would be re deploying their newest ship, Sky Princess, to the UK next year.

Sky Princess, Princess Cruise line's newest ship, was supposed to be sailing from Copenhagen next year but in a turn of events Princess cruises have decided to re-deploy the ship to the waters of Southampton for the summer season - mainly taking over itineraries originally planned for Crown Princess.

Following just a couple of months after it was announced Regal Princess would be making a return to Southampton, a second Princess "Royal Class" ship is now confirmed to be sailing from the city. Sky Princess will be taking over some of Crown Princess' scheduled British Isles itineraries, these will still depart on the same dates as originally planned.

The Sky Princess itineraries that remain will be altered from 11 night Baltic's sailings from Copenhagen to 12 night Baltic sailings from Southampton - thus allowing British cruise passengers to travel without the need for flying.

It is currently unknown what itineraries Crown Princess will be undertaking instead of sailing from Southampton, but we expect Princess to announce this fairly soon.

2021 Crown Princess sailings from Southampton have been cancelled, as have Sky Princess sailings from Copenhagen. New Sky itineraries will be on sale from later this month.

Cruise Trade News are reporting that Princess have made this decision based on Coronavirus related travel uncertainty.
