P&O Cruises have recently announced that their brand new ship, Iona, sailing from 2020, is to sail exclusively to the Norwegian Fjords - from its home port in Southampton, England.
The Senior Vice President of P&O Cruises announced that they knew Iona would be sailing to the Norwegian Fjords since "the initial stages of her build", he went on to say that Iona had been designed to "maximise the views".
We believe that Iona will take over a lot of the voyages that the lines current flagship, Brittania, currently operates - along with new ones, of course. It is currently unknown which ships will operate out of Southampton when Iona joins the fleet - if not all of them may stay.
Iona is set to join the fleet just short of one year after Oriana is set to leave P&O cruises.
